Cucamonga Valley Water District (CVWD) Board Member Randall James Reed was recently appointed to become the President of the Association of San Bernardino County Special Districts (ASBCSD), which is a chapter of the statewide California Special Districts Association (CSDA). The CSDA was formed in 1969 to promote good governance and improved core local services through professional development, advocacy, and other services for all types of independent special districts. Director Reed has been a member of ASBCSD since 2015 and served as the Treasurer prior to his appointment as President.
“I am honored for the continued opportunity to be a part of this special organization which brings to the forefront the importance of special districts and highlights the critical needs that they provide to people throughout the state. I strongly believe in the importance and efficiency of the special district form of governance,” commented Director Reed.
Director Reed was elected to the CVWD Board of Directors in November 2003. He currently serves as a member of the Association of California Water Agencies Energy Committee. He also represents CVWD on the Water Resources Institute Community Advisory Board. Director Reed recently retired from the wastewater industry after 25 years of service.
