CVWD Board Member Appointed to Statewide Organization

Randall Reed

Vice President Randall James Reed was recently appointed to the Association of California Water Agencies/Joint Power Insurance Authority (ACWA/JPIA) Executive Committee. The Executive Committee is comprised of eight members elected by the ACWA/JPIA Board of Directors from its voting agencies. Executive Committee members act as Chairs and Vice-Chairs of six Committees: Liability Program, Property Program, Workers’ Compensation Program, Employee Benefits Program, Risk Management Program, and the Personnel Committee.

ACWA/JPIA is a partnership of water agencies working together to share the risks associated with purveying water. ACWA/JPIA is dedicated to consistently and cost-effectively providing the broadest possible affordable insurance coverage and related services to its member agencies.

“I am honored for the opportunity to be a part of this special organization and strongly believe in the importance of a stable and cost-effective alternative for protecting the assets, liabilities, and employees of public water agencies,” commented Vice President Reed.

Vice President Reed was elected to the CVWD Board of Directors in November 2003. He currently serves as a member of the Association of California Water Agencies Energy Committee and as the President of the Association of San Bernardino County Special Districts. He also represents CVWD on the Water Resources Institute Community Advisory Board. Vice President Reed is retired from the wastewater industry after more than 30 years of service.
