Rancho Cucamonga, CA – The Cucamonga Valley Water District (CVWD/District) is pleased to announce the launch of its new podcast “CVWD Through the Decades.” This history-based podcast will feature nine episodes that will take listeners on a journey from the time of this area’s early settlers and water pioneers, to the creative and innovative minds who worked together to ensure a reliable water supply for the Cucamonga Valley today and beyond. The first episode is now available on popular podcast apps, including Apple, Google Podcasts, and Spotify. Listeners can also tune in to each episode by visiting the District’s website at www.CVWDwater.com/TTDpodcast.
CVWD’s roots in this community extend deeper than its official incorporation in 1955. The area CVWD serves would not be thriving today without the water source that was available to early settlers. The podcast, which will release episodes on a bi-weekly basis, is a great opportunity to connect as a community and share with people beyond the District’s boundaries, to enlighten listeners with the rich water heritage of this area.
“As a long-time resident of Rancho Cucamonga, I have seen firsthand the growth and success of this community, which started with the forethought of the early settlers to access precious water in the canyons and groundwater basins,” shared President Randall James Reed. “We are excited to launch this special project that recognizes our past, present, and future, and tells the story of securing a reliable water supply, building a sustainable water distribution system, and providing for the needs of this community.”
The “Through the Decades” podcast is just one of several components planned for the District’s History Project campaign which is currently running. People can also join the journey via social media and on CVWD’s website, where many stories, photos, and accolades are being highlighted.
