The Cucamonga Valley Water District swore in newly elected Board Member, Mr. Jimmie Moffatt, at its regularly scheduled board meeting on December 13, 2022. Director Moffatt has resided in Rancho Cucamonga for over 50 years and has been active in the community in a number of ways including youth sports. Director Moffatt shares the same passion for his community as his father, the late James Moffatt, and currently runs a local family-owned restaurant.
At the January 10, 2023 meeting, the board reappointed Randall James Reed as Board President. President Reed has served on the board of directors since 2003. Director Mark Gibboney was newly appointed as CVWD’s Vice President and has served on the board of directors since 2019.
“CVWD welcomes Director Moffatt to our board, and we look forward to collaborating with him to continue providing Service Beyond Expectation to customers,” commented President Reed. “Serving on the board of directors is a true honor, and I am grateful that my fellow directors are confident in my ability as president to lead the district in serving our thriving community.”
The role of the board of directors is to develop policies that guide the district in carrying out its mission of providing high-quality, reliable water and wastewater services, while practicing good stewardship of natural and financial resources.
